there are seven SAKE breweries (SAKAGURAs) near Saijo station. there is no other place that many breweries located in small area like Saijo. most of them are located along the street.
the street is called SAKE brewery street "SAKAGURA dori street".
Saijo is now well-known for SAKE town as well as Nada，Kobe and Fushimi，Kyoto.
every brewery is open mostly 10am to 4pm even weekdays . open hour
on Sunday guide tour takes place and it starts from tourist information center on 2nd floor of Saijo station. the annual biggest event is SAKE festival. it is held in October and
more than 200,000 people visit Saijo for two days.
